Trinity got new shoes!

I purchased the car on 6/19/2006 and four years to the day I replaced the original tires.  (Hard to believe its been 4 Years!) I had taken the car to NTB to have them rotated and balanced but they wouldn't touch them.  They stated they (NTB) had a policy that kept them from rotating tires with the wear bars showing.  Well... crap.

I knew I needed tires but I was stalling as long as I could.  The car had just over 25500 miles when I arrived at Discount Tire on 6/19/2010 and purchased a set of the Riken Raptors.  Donnie's wife Sonya has these on her Mustang and they looked really nice plus the price was reasonable.  About an hour later my car was ready with new tires which they took the time to "show mount" on my request. They look SWEET!  And the ride is awesome.  Of course, I still have to break them in a bit.  :)

Also, Susan found this steering wheel cover and ends up it goes pretty well with the interior.  :)  I like it!

Here are the pictures!

  1. I have a question and you seem like you would be able to answer it...my stampede mustang doesnt have the plaque that shows X of 500, how do I figure out what number I have? I'm sure its a stampede edition, it's redfire, has the silver stripes, has the stampede edition emblem on the back, gray interior, and chrome exhaust tip.

    also nice car

  2. That may be hard to do. The production numbers (badge numbers) are not directly tied to the VIN's in any way that we've determined as of yet. I was told that although 500 was the target that they (Ford) may have created "a few more". If you bought yours new and it didn't have the badging it is possible that the dealership failed to put it on or it didn't come with one. (It would have been in the same envelope as the gas cap emblem.) The only way to get a replacement is to contact Ford directly at a number that was provided for this program. Jason, my co-admin on the registry, should have that info. He did receive his letter. I didn't. The dealerships really didn't know what they were dealing with if you ask me. It has been a long time since the Regional Specials of the 60's-70's. ;)
